Some jazzmen have left an indelible imprint upon the music and Dizzy Gillespie is one whose imprint is greater than most. A technically gifted musician, musical innovator, vocalist , composer, entertainer and ambassador for his country, very few individuals in jazz ticked the boxes as completely as he did. Featured here in their entirety are his three original albums “Birk’s Works”, “Afro”, “World Statesman” as well as bonus tracks from his “For Musicians Only” album. All recordings on this 2CD set have been digitally remastered for optimum sound quality. Show more
