The Lectrosonics DM1612F is a professional 16x12 digital matrix processor designed for advanced audio mixing, routing, and signal processing in environments that demand precise control over multiple microphones and loudspeakers. Ideal for boardrooms, courtrooms, worship centers, hotels, and distance learning systems, the DM1612F offers robust DSP functionality and scalable integration in a fan-cooled, rackmountable design. At its core, the DM1612F features 16 mic/line inputs and 12 outputs, 4 of which are switchable to mic-level. Every input passes through six DSP filters, a compressor, a digital delay, and an ADFE (Automatic Digital Feedback Eliminator). The 16x12 crosspoint matrix allows any input to be routed to any or all outputs with gain adjustable from -69 dB to +20 dB in 1 dB steps. On the output side, each channel includes nine filters, a compressor/limiter, and its own delay for independent signal tailoring per zone or device. What sets the DM1612F apart is its implementation of Lectrosonics' proprietary proportional gain auto mixing algorithm with AutoSkew™ which is a system that intelligently manages microphone priority and levels without traditional gating, ensuring smooth transitions and eliminating comb filtering and echo artifacts. Each output also features a dedicated NOM (Number of Open Microphones) bus, allowing optimized control for sound reinforcement and recording.
