The DMA 85B 1101-D is a servo drive module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat, part of the Servodyn D series line-up. Compatible with both asynchronous and synchronous motors, the device features a three-phase design, position control, and backplane air cooling. This compact unit, requiring only a 300mm-deep control cabinet for installation, must be disconnected from the mains for at least 5 minutes prior to removing its cover. ESD protection measures must also be taken before handling. The module benefits from a 50mm width, a SERCOS interface for easy commissioning and installation, and a 32-bit signal processor providing digital current, speed and position control. Other noteworthy features include a 2-channel redundant safety monitoring function through its in-built "personality" module, a 1.35A power demand from the 24V power supply, a 12-bit resolution resolver, and a maximum current rating of 86ARMS. Great care must be taken during transition to avoid damaging the components, and safety warnings must be strictly adhered to.
