The Pioneer DMH-WC6600NEX modular digital multimedia receiver offers installation flexibility with its 9" capacitive HD touchscreen display, which can be mounted separately from th e hideaway main AV chassis. Modular solutions Pioneer’s modular receivers are designed for applications, often in newer vehicles, where limited depth behind the dash prohibits the installation of a traditional receiver. This installation flexibility is achieved by physically separating the touchscreen display from the main AV unit, which contains the CPU, control system, radio tuner, amplifier, and input/output connections. This allows the main AV unit to be installed in a different location and not necessarily attached to the display unit, as is typically the case*.
