A figure of 8 with a twist. By turning the angle of alignment of the attachment hole and rope running hole by 90 degrees, the Anka allows proper orientation of the descender when u sed on a Centre or Industrial harness, i.e. when the belay loop is horizontally orientated (It sits vertically in most mountaineering style harnesses).It is made from hot forged aluminium for strength and has plenty of metal to displace heat and increase longevity.
