Simple Kitchen Knife Sharpening The DMT EdgeSharp GLIDZ Diamond Roller offers a simple, safe and fast method to sharpen kitchen knives. You don't have to suffer from the annoyance of dull knives in the kitchen, go through the hassle of complicated sharpening machines, or the expense of a sharpening service. With the GLIDZ, you can quickly and easily sharpen your own kitchen knives and get right back to using them. Rotating Diamond Abrasive The GLIDZ uses a fine 600 grit diamond disc mounted to a rolling mechanism to sharpen. The disc is is geared to rotate at 2:1 rate, a feature unique to the DMT GLIDZ. This faster rotation of the diamond disc makes for faster sharpening. Magnetic Base Holds Blade The magnetic base of the GLIDZ securely holds the knife at the desired sharpening angle. It has four Positions: 15°, 20°, 22° and 26°. Choose the angle you desire for your knife and rotate the base to position. Set the base on your counter top and put your knife on the magnet. Roll the Diamond Disc Along the Blade With the blade held securely in place, all you have to do is roll the diamond disc along the length of the blade. After 5-10 strokes on one side, remove the blade from the base, turn it around to expose the other side of the edge, reconnect the knife to the base and repeat. Safe and Storable The Base of the GLIDZ has non-slip feet to keep everything in one spot while sharpening and a textured grip to hold it safely away from the sharp edge. The base also features convenient storage. The roller sits on top with the diamonds protected when not in use.
