Do-IT Split Shot Sinker Molds The round Split Shot is one of this country’s most used sinkers because of the ease in which it can be attached to the fishing line. That is, it’s eas y once you know the secret, which is to just grip the sinker with pliers from behind the split and squeeze the two ends of the slot in toward each other.
