Watch for dogwood anthracnose (leaf spots and dieback), powdery mildew, and borers. Ensure good air circulation and purchase disease-resistant varieties. In deer-heavy areas, apply repellent to young plants. With consistent moisture and proper placement away from intense afternoon sun, your dogwood will establish strong roots and vibrant seasonal color.
