Light up your dock and protect your pilings with one smart solution. This 8″ White Solar Piling Cap Dock Light combines durability and style in one easy-to-install unit .It provides both functional lighting and long-term protection against water and weather damage. The built-in solar-powered LED automatically illuminates at dusk with a bright white glow that enhances visibility and adds a striking nighttime accent to your dock or pier. Built to withstand harsh marine conditions, this solar piling cap is crafted from high-impact, UV-resistant materials for long-lasting performance. No wiring or maintenance required—simply install it on your piling, and the integrated solar panel charges during the day to power the light all night long. Ideal for residential docks, marinas, and waterfront walkways, this all-in-one cap light not only extends the life of your pilings but also adds a polished, professional look to your dock. IMPORTANT NOTES: For installation, you should pre-drill holes in your piling and then use a *hand screwdriver* to install. Using a hammer will result in the outer shell cracking. There should be a bit of space between the outer shell and the piling, that is normal. While we do offer the outer shell as an accessory (in the case of improper installation), this will have to be ordered separately. Historically, these lights have lasted for 5+ years, and even survived submersion with hurricanes. We suggest ordering slightly larger. ie if your piling is a millimeter over 7'', we suggest ordering the 8'' solar piling cap. WHAT'S IN THE BOX: (1) DokLite LED Solar Light (1) White Reflector (floor) (3) Stainless Steel Screws w/ Washers MEASURING: Choosing the right size Solar DokLite is easy! Just measure the diameter of your dock pilings first. Remember, no piling is perfectly round, so a close estimate works just fine. If you’re unsure, it’s best to size up. DokLites are designed to fit securely even if they extend slightly over the edges of the piling. Each one includes a solid base that creates a snug, watertight seal once installed — no overly tight fit needed!
