Dolce Far Niente by frida — Cannes at the late golden hour, two ranks of striped loungers and closed canvas umbrellas standing in formation on the sand of the Carlton Beach Club. T he sea sits flat behind them, a deep blue band under a gradient sky that shifts from pale gold near the horizon up to a soft cobalt overhead. Shot on film, in the spirit of an old summer postcard pulled from a drawer, with an analog grain that softens every edge.
