While we often hear from gardeners who are excited to find a particular heirloom of their past, we've never had anyone literally scream with joy—which is exactly what happened when we told one customer that we would be introducing the famous Turkish heirloom, Dolmalik. After trying it ourselves, we can see what all the excitement was about. Plants produce huge yields of 2" wide by 4" long, lobed peppers that ripen from green to red as they mature. Delicious peppers have a unique sweet flavor with a bit of spiciness. We're told that Dolmalik peppers are traditionally stuffed, but they may also be dried and ground into powder for seasoning meat. Roasting them is reported to bring out their sweet, smoky flavor. However they're prepared, we're certain that Dolmalik will become a staple in our garden from now on. Mild to medium heat depending on the growing conditions. 80-85 days from transplant. 25 seeds per packet.
