Donkey Guard is an unorthodox, high-risk, high-reward position where the grappler intentionally exposes their back to an opponent, but then launches their legs backward to catch th em around the hips. Developed by Jeff Glover and designed to bait opponents into an attack, Donkey Guard can lead to a variety of sweeps, takedowns, and submissions.
