Don’t Stone Others Trans Version is centred on a popular theme in my art – the judgment and marginalization of members of the LGBTQIA+ community by the church and much of society. Here we see Jesus defending and protecting a member of the trans community as they are pelted with stones from a small flock of bigoted sheep. It echoes the sentiment of a popular idiom – people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. In a nutshell, we all live in glass houses. Nobody has the right to judge, so why persecute others? Shouldn’t we rather love each other from a place of humility and acceptance? Let’s throw love around, not stones made of ignorance and hate. Print this to hang on your wall as a reminder to judge not, stone not, and basically not be a thoughtless, careless sheep. Let’s show our trans siblings the love they deserve.
