DOORWAY Beaded Labradorite necklace and pendant.Sterling Silver. Length 19 1/2" Creative Notes: I am a bit obsessed with doors and doorways and especially when travelling. I looke d at a lot of my own for photos and some online for inspiration but it wasn’t clicking. Then I started to think about what a doorway represents and how it can be the transition of going from one place to another. An open door can represent embracing the new, changes and transformation and that’s what led me to Labradorite.Labradorite is known as the stone of transformation. With its beautiful grey base and its amazing range of colour. Legends say that the blue flash and green effervescence of the stone is the light of the Aurora Borealis caught inside. Labradorite can strengthen trust in the universe and promotes a sense of excitement and adventure. Perfect for the times you are walking through doorways in your life.This necklace is made with the most gorgeous faceted labradorite rondelle beads. They reflect a beautiful blue flash when they move in the light. I’ve wire wrapped them onto sterling silver wire and completed with a stunning pendant. ___________________________________________________________ This necklace is part of a creative project I did to get me through the winter of 2024. A Creative Project a day, so in my case a jewelry piece, based on a printed word prompt. It became such a joy to stretch my creativity, try new things and even go back to some of my older designs to translate a word into jewelry. Show more
