The outside of the piece has been meticulously hand-painted, creating a grayish-wash with a satin finish, which gives it an aged, organic look. The inner surfaces of the shades glow warmly when the lamp is illuminated, bouncing off the bronze glaze, providing a soft contrast to the cooler tones of the exterior.
