What does single-pole mean? A single-pole dimmer controls a light, or group of lights, from one location. If the same lights are controlled from two or more locations, Dimwit is not compatible with that installation. Bulbs matter. Dimwit works with dimmable LED/CFL and incandescent/halogen bulbs within the specified load ranges. LED and CFL bulbs must be labeled dimmable, and performance can vary by bulb make and type.
