Enhance gastrointestinal surgical training with the highly realistic Double Layer Bowel Model. Designed to replicate the structure and handling characteristics of human bowel tissue, this model provides an effective and practical platform for practising incision, suturing and anastomosis techniques in line with contemporary surgical training requirements. Available individually or as a 10 pack, ideal for group training sessions. The model features a true double-layer construction, accurately representing: An outer muscular layer An inner mucosal layer Each layer delivers realistic elasticity and tissue tension during cutting and suturing, allowing learners to develop precise tissue handling skills and perform secure, anatomically appropriate multi-layer closures. The lifelike resistance supports both interrupted and continuous suturing techniques, as well as end-to-end and side-to-side anastomosis practice. Students and clinicians can practise and refine essential skills such as: Bowel incision and suturing techniques Gastrointestinal anastomosis and reconnection procedures Accurate tissue handling Layer-by-layer closure techniques Basic through to advanced gastrointestinal surgical skills Manufactured from high-durability, high-elasticity silicone, the bowel segments maintain their structure and performance during repeated procedures, making them well suited to structured skills training and simulation-based education. Multiple diameter and length configurations enable varied and progressive training scenarios, from foundational suturing exercises to more complex anastomosis practice. Key specifications: Double-layer bowel construction (muscular and mucosal layers) Realistic elasticity and suturing resistance Suitable for repeated training sessions Included sizes per unit: 1x Bowel – 200mm x Ø15mm x 1mm thickness (approx. 20g) 1x Bowel – 200mm x Ø20mm x 1mm thickness (approx. 20g) 1x Bowel – 200mm x Ø25mm x 1mm thickness (approx. 25g) 1x Bowel – 200mm x Ø35mm x 1mm thickness (approx. 25g) Additional sizes are available separately, please contact our customer service team for more information.
