These Double Phosphor Washered Butt Hinges are suitable for both internal and external timber doors and are available in 3 inch and 4 inch sizes. Manufactured from solid brass, they are designed to coordinate with our range of brass front door furniture and lever on rose door handles. Choose from Aged Brass, Matt Bronze, Polished Chrome, Satin Brass and Satin Nickel finishes. Each hinge is fitted with phosphor bronze washers, providing smooth operation while reducing wear between the hinge knuckles. The corrosion-resistant washers make these hinges suitable for regular use on both internal and external doors. Please note: These solid brass butt hinges are sold as pairs. The 4 inch size is recommended for external doors and heavier internal doors, while the 3 inch size is commonly used on standard internal doors. For doors weighing between 21kg and 30kg, we recommend fitting three hinges per door. Maintenance Tip: Wipe the hinges regularly with a soft cloth to remove dirt and water marks. Avoid using metal polishes or aerosol cleaners, as these may damage the lacquered finish.
