A thick sterling silver collar with a 40mm sphere pressed onto one end and a 30mm sphere onto the other. The collar sits at the base of the neck: cool and solid against the collarbone, two spheres of warm wood marking each terminal. The difference in scale is visible and intentional. A studied asymmetry rather than a matched pair. The most architectural piece in the Gaia collection. The collar and the spheres hold a tension between them: rigid against organic, cool against warm, silver against wood. Designer's Note ‘I made this piece for an exhibition. The two spheres are different sizes by choice: 40mm and 30mm. A matched pair would have been static. The collar needed that difference to feel alive. It was the piece people came back to, and the one I’ve been asked about most.’ Claire de Bezenac
