3.38" (8.59cm) closed. 2.88" (7.32cm) carbon steel blade with Douk-Douk scroll etching. Ferro-blackened folded steel handles with bail. Front handle is etched with Douk-Douk artwor k. Famous in the former French colonies for over 70 years and used recently for decades by the Army and in the French Foreign Legion, these are tough, working knives The Douk Douk has been manufactured by MC Cognet cutlery in France since 1929. The original engraving was created by Antoine & Gaspare and the knife was initially sold to French colonists in Oceania and later became popular in French Algeria. During the 1954-1962 FLN-led revolt in Algeria, the Douk-Douk was used as a weapon of assassination and terror. Show more
