This Dowel Sizing Plate features 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16mm holes for accurate dowel sizes. Drive your roughly sized or purchased dowel through this tool steel plate for an instant o n-size dowel. A simple, but very handy to have tool. 130mm (5-1/8") long x 37mm (1½" wide) x 6mm (¼" thick), made from surface ground A2 Tool Steel. Holes are machined with a 6° clearance taper on the underside and straight for the first .025", allowing you to sharpen them without affecting the hole size. Start with pieces whittled close to your desired diameter, chamfered at the leading end, and hammer it through the appropriate hole for perfectly sized dowels.
