Limited double 180 gram vinyl LP pressing Few Nineties debuts remain as sinisterly stoned-out and sick as hell as Down’s ground-and-bongwater-rumbling NOLA. The sum of the sludge s upergroup’s parts was impressive enough as it is — comprising members of Pantera, Corrosion of Conformity, Eyehategod and Crowbar — but Down quickly made a name for themselves through this 13-song set of sweet-leaf-stained grooves and metallically bleary-eyed bar boogies. It’s a down and dirty, Sabbathian plunge into a boggy bayou, and yet the eternal “Stone the Crow” shook the mud off its wings to hit the Top 40 charts in 1995. Show more
