Have your jeans stretched out more than expected? Lost some weight? We can downsize your waistband by up to 2 full sizes. Rather than using a dart to make them smaller, we completely disassemble the waistband area of the jeans, removing the belt loops, leather, and waistband down the side seams about 5 inches. We then repattern and resize the waistband before reconstructing all the original components and returning the jeans to you in their downsized state. The downsizing service will not alter the rise, hips, or seat areas. It will be only altered about 5 inches below the waistband and up. Below the altered 5 inches, will remain untouched and unaltered. If you are having an issue with the entire top block being to big, the downsize service may accentuate that "bubbling" in the crotch/seat area. The Railcar waistband downsizing service is a service to make the waistband fit better on your waist, not to make your jeans tag sizes smaller. How It's Performed: First the jeans gets inspected to make sure the reconstruction could be done. All of the belt loops gets removed for relocation. The patch gets removed for adjustment. The button and rivets gets removed. The upper body panels get's reshaped to the downsize desired. Waistband gets shorten and reinstalled. Belt loops, patch, and hardware gets installed. Final inspection and shipped back. Service Time:So we can properly Railcar upsize your jeans we will need 3-4 weeks from the date the item has arrived at the shop. Optional Rush Service:Need even faster service? Use the optional "Rush". This will bump you to the front of the normally over 40 pants in the queue for faster service. Please Understand:The original top fly button and possibly the rivets will be replaced with a Railcar button and rivets, as the originals cannot be reused. Additionally, if your jeans have any waistband fades or wears, they will be shifted slightly for the additional waistband length. See pictures for example. All work is final. Incoming insurance is your choice. When your package arrives at Railcar, please allow 1-2 working days to process it in. An automatic email will be sent out when it is physically processed. It will go into service immediately. When your pants are complete, they'll be shipped back to you and you'll be emailed a tracking number.
