The new album was inspired by the feature film "Straight Outta Compton," which tells the story of the hip-hop formation N. W.A and thus the rise of Dr. Dre. "After I saw the first footage of the movie, I went straight from the set to the studio and was just inspired. I started recording an album, a soundtrack. I was still keeping it a secret, but now it's done," he told his radio show. After his milestones "The Chronic" (1992) and "2001" (1999), fans have had to wait a long time for a new work from Dr. Dre, who is one of the most influential figures in hip-hop and has discovered and produced Eminem and 50 Cent, among others.
