Hoya minahassae, an uncommon epiphytic climber from the humid forests of Sulawesi, Indonesia, near Lake Poso, is highly valued by collectors for its star-shaped flowers and 'sun-st ress' response, characterized by a vibrant reddish-bronze coloration of its foliage under high light conditions. Its firm, lanceolate or elliptical leaves, typically 4–8 cm long, display a striking red-to-plum bronze hue when exposed to bright light.
