The Dragon Goby (violet goby) is a large, eel-like sand-sifting fish that spends its time burrowing through the substrate, helping keep it clean and aerated. Tolerant of a range of salinities from freshwater to full marine, it's a hardy scavenger that does best with a soft sand bed and plenty of hiding spots. This specimen is 3-4 in. Size: 3-4 in (can grow substantially larger with time). Diet: Omnivore/detritivore - sinking pellets, meaty foods, and sifted detritus. Temperament: Peaceful, mostly nocturnal burrower.
