Dragon Maths 1 is a 128 page write-on student workbook that contains a full mathematics programme suitable for most Year 3 students. It revises work at mathematics curriculum Level 1 and starts work on Level 2. Students are guided through the Advanced Counting Stage (stage 4) of the Number Framework. Each chapter is based on New Zealand Mathematics and Statistics. The Number and Algebra strand has been allocated 5 chapters (73 pages) to adequately cover all the numeracy strategies being taught in primary schools.
