The cloth is finished so that it puckers rather than lying flat, which changes how the towel behaves as much as how it looks. What santuklu actually does More surface, more absorbency. The crinkle gives the cloth texture and volume without adding weight, so it takes up more water than a flat peshtemal of the same size. It never needs ironing. The texture is the point — creasing is invisible, which makes it the easiest towel in the range to live with. It dries just as fast. Still a flat weave underneath, so it airs out between uses instead of sitting damp. It softens further with washing. The crinkle relaxes and deepens over the first several cycles rather than washing out. Where it works At 37'' x 73'' it is a full bath sheet for one adult and long enough to cover a sun lounger.
