Stand-alone expansion for Forbidden Psalm. Word on the street is that the turn of the century was going to bring about the end of the world. Not the first time doomsayers had predi cted the coming of the end. But something this time felt different. Not that most had time to dwell on such matters of course. For the bleakness of the world meant that most simply busied themselves with thoughts of where their next meal was going to come from, how they could afford the room and board that kept them off of the streets at night and out of harm's way.
