There is a very serious and scary problem facing a lot of lash artists and beauty professionals. It can feel devastating, overwhelming and painful. Everyday I get messages from lash artists that they have no clients, no one wants to book with them or they’re facing a slow season where clients drop off and the panic is setting in. Even more heartbreaking to me, sometimes people I deeply care about reach out to me telling me they feel like they’ve failed because they’ve been struggling to fill their books despite every effort. A lot of lash artists are sold a lie that building their clientele is easy. Or it just takes posting on Instagram to have a full schedule year round. Or paying an ad agency will build them their dream clientele. It could build you a clientele, but the chances of those clients returning for years is slim to none. It hurts my heart when I see lash extensions being advertised on facebook marketplace for $50. I just wish they knew there was a better way to run their business that’ll set them up for long term success rather than short term clients that are constantly searching for the best deal. The truth is, it’s a true learned art to be a magnet for clients. It’s not easy, it takes commitment and dedication and discipline…but it’s entirely possible and worth it to put in these actionable steps to curate a business and a clientele that is ideal for YOU, while making great money, actually profiting and enjoying a life away from the bed as well.
