Program Notes: Dreams. A magical world where anything can happen. To enter this inner sanctum you must fall asleep and drift far, far away into the realm of your own subconscience and imagination. Anything can happen. The sky is not the limit. It is the perfect place to dance. Notes to the Conductor The opening of the piece should feel like entering an enchanted garden. Tempos should fluctuate a little as the piece swells and wanes. The dance section should be highly energetic and extremely light. When you see a staccato, I mean it. Not clipped off and harsh, but short and light as you would find in a ballet.
