The book is in very good + condition with no inscriptions and the remains of some tape residue on the fep. There is some light staining to pages 45-47. The dust wrapper is in very good condition and is price clipped, with some light wear and loss to the top/base of the spine and corners. There is some light wear to the edges of the spine and a small loss to the print on the front cover, near to the title. The wrapper comes in a clear unattached protective cover. The book contains 8 beautiful full page illustrations and numerous other line drawings by J.S. Goodall. Part of the publisher's 'Country Life Junior Library' series.
