We use the Mann's Stretch baits to pull the dredge down into the water behind the boat. Fully rigged with the 40 or 75 ft Dredge teaser line in front and then a leader connected to the dredge. All rigged on 500 lb mono with 4/0 snap swivels to reduce line spin. Or get just the Stretch bait with the teaser line . Choice of Manns Stretch 18 or 30 depending how deep you want to get it.
