It goes into the plastic, not onto it.That's the whole difference between a conditioner and a dressing. A dressing sits on the surface and makes it shiny, and a week later the shine is gone because it was never part of the plastic to begin with. Dressed Up is water based and it absorbs, which is why dry and faded plastics come back looking like plastic again instead of looking wet.No grease. Nothing slick. Nothing that catches the sun at the wrong angle or transfers onto a sleeve. The UV blocker does two jobsThe obvious one is sunscreen. A dashboard takes more direct sun than any other surface on the car, and fading is what eventually kills it. The UV package is what slows that down. The part most people don't know: that same UV blocker is the anti-static agent. It leaves the surface with a charge that dust and airborne grit don't want to settle on. So the interior doesn't just look conditioned the day you did it, it stays looking clean longer between wipe downs.Where it sitsThree products cover interior plastics, and the difference is how much finish you want: Cruise: completely flat. Zero shine, factory look. Clean 'n Shine: satin, and it cleans at the same time. The maintenance option. Dressed Up: the most conditioning of the three. This is the one for plastics that have gone genuinely dry or faded, not just dusty. Dressed Up conditions, it doesn't clean. Anything actually dirty gets Leather & Interior Cleaner first, or you're sealing grime under the conditioner. How to use it Apply generously to a soft applicator pad and work it onto the surface. An applicator is what drives it down into the plastic. A towel just spreads it around on top, and the conditioning is the reason you bought it. Let it absorb for a few minutes. Don't chase it while it's still sitting wet. This is the step people skip, and it's the step that does the work. Come back with a clean microfiber towel and even the surface out. That pass is what leaves it dry to the touch, with no high spots and no glossy patches where product pooled. Pro tip: apply to the pad, not the panel. Overspray on glass and screens takes longer to chase off than the whole wipe down did, and it gets into vent slats where a towel can't follow.16 oz. or gallon? The gallon holds what eight 16 oz. bottles hold. Eight of those would run $136. At $49 the gallon works out to about $6.13 per 16 oz., roughly 64% less.Pairs well with Autofiber Applicator Pad: the tool that works the conditioner into the plastic instead of across it. Leather & Interior Cleaner: the cleaner to use first. Conditioning over grime seals it in. Creature Edgeless Dual Pile Microfiber, 10pk: the leveling towel that decides whether the finish is even. Clean 'n Shine - Clean and Condition: the lighter satin option, and the one to maintain with between conditionings. Cruise - Matte Interior Detailer: for matte interiors where you don't want the conditioned look at all. Detailers Products is Georgia's exclusive Shine Supply dealer.
