I wonder whether I have a subconscious hankering to be a dress designer? I just loved making these two blocks – the Dressmakerz Model and then the Dressez themselves. The thought behind the two blocks is that the Dressmakerz Model would be the ‘undressed’ foil to the variations of style and fabric in the Dressez. From the Modelz’ easy-to-piece starting point you’llfind it simple to then visualize and make changes. It is the dressez though that make this pattern exciting. I dare you to even try to make two the same! You will want to make all the variations; short, knee length and longer, slim-line profile or full skirt, straps, strap-less, or v-neck. Belts, trimmings and accessories will help to make your wardrobe even more exciting - both pieced in or embellished if you choose to go further. Each block has three sizes, 4” x 8”, 6” x 12” and 8” x 16” but in this new edition I have also added the SUPER-DUPER 12” x 24” version that ties in very nicely with the 6” Hatz, Handbagz and Shoez blocks. As usual they are simple to make in relaxed Stargazey style -where perfect is just not good enough! This PDF quilting pattern includes full fabric requirements, cutting instructions and step-by-step assembly guidance. You may customise it to your desired quilt size.
