This week - if you still have some left in the garden, we are painting a dried Hydrangea, paint this while you have a break before all the flowers bloom. It's detail with some added freedom to create some of the atmosphere the dried flowers inspire. We even conclude the project with some skeletal petals applied to the painting. I am hoping to provide you with heaps of ideas on how you can enjoy 'botanical painting and beyond'. On May 18th we are selling tickets to a unique event in the heart of London's Bloomsbury, in the most beautiful building; where you can meet professional Botanical painters, pick their brains on how they research and paint native British plants and watch them demonstrate their skills live. The SBA has two events, one morning and one afternoon, book both if you wish or click on the time slot you want.
