Ponderosa Dried Sliced Shiitake Mushrooms with their rich earthy flavor are a healthy addition to soups, cream sauces, vegetarian recipes and Asian cuisine. Note: 0.5 oz/ 14g of dr ied mushrooms equals about 2.5 oz/ 70g of fresh product. To Rehydrate: Soak in a bowl of warm water, wine or stock for 20 minutes or until tender. Strain through a cheesecloth or filter reserving the flavorful liquid for use in soups, stocks or sauces. When preparing soups or stews, the dried mushrooms can be added without rehydrating as they revive during the slow cooking process. Show more
