Our elderberries are grown in our orchards in East Sussex and are air dried locally right after being harvested. This makes our dried elderberries not only 100% traceable, it also keeps food miles to a minimum. The ripe berries are dried gently straight after harvest, which gives them a wonderful aroma and concentrates their natural flavours. Rich in antioxidants and 100% natural, 100g makes about 1 liter of juice when cooked up. They are ideal for making syrups, fruit compotes and for adding to baking for a tart berry burst. With a long shelf life, they're perfect for year-round use. Note: Elderberries naturally contain cyanogenic glycoside and therefore need to be heated to at least 85 degree Celsius before consumption.
