His early work was shaped by his path through skateboarding, bicycling and graffiti as well as his fascination with comic books and the drawings in early Dungeons and Dragons books. Classic literature, folklore and his mother’s Costa Rican culture and wife’s Mexican heritage have all played a big part in his work. Recently his predominant interest has been in the separation that humans have tried to put between themselves and nature and the effects that is has.
