Driftwood is a speciality amber base by V. MANE Fils built around their captive molecule Ambramone®. It has a lovely soft cedar quality with the faintest hint of suede and ambergri s. It can be used in overdose (and indeed I would recommend its use that way) when you want an elegant wood note to use in place of the more common Vertofix, Vertenex or Iso E Super. But in small amounts it is a great nuancer with captive character. There is nothing unpleasant in Driftwood and as a foundational wood it is a great addition to the perfumer's organ. Blend this with green or fruit notes to emphasise those facets in the base. For richness and beauty, boost it with Miraclewood. Show more
