Dropcloth Samplers are designed by US based textile artist Rebecca Ringquist. A dropcloth is something that you can get messy, without worrying about making mistakes. A pie shaped sampler filled with lots, and we mean LOTS of tiny stitches waiting to be experimented with. Each of the nine sections offers variations on the theme, giving the maker a chance to try out thick and thin versions of each stitch, as well as variations in colour and threads. You are encouraged to make this design your own and get out all your unique threads for this project. The end result is dense, colourful, and dynamic. Instructions aren’t included but can be found in most embroidery books, in Rebecca’s online classes, or why not get a friend to show you? The sampler arrives preprinted on cotton quilting fabric, ready to stitch. You provide your own threads, needles, and hoop. Measures10" x 10".
