This beautiful sundew is rarely cultivated in the United States. As its name suggests, Drosera neocaledonica is endemic to the tiny Western Pacific island of New Caledonia. Having been genetically isolated from most other Drosera species for perhaps 80 million years, D. neocaledonia has an extremely unique and lovely appearance. It grows skinny leaves covered in small tentacles, with darker red coloration at their tips. This species thrives in warmer conditions, and will grow well beside South American and Australian sundews.This sundew carnivorous plant will be shipped bare-root with a 3.5" plastic pot and enough top-quality New Zealand long-fiber sphagnum moss to fill it.
