Fashioned from pure silk, this hand designed and finished pocket square was designed for the Royal Opera House, inspired by the Nutcracker ballet and a sentimental Christmas present. When I was a toddler, I was gifted by a Nutcracker Story Box. Inside there were all sorts of little games and surprises, my favourite being an ornament of the swan flying with the little girl, Clara, and the Nutcracker. Under the swans beak is where you’d place your finger, and when you released it a little star would light up, and ‘Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy’ would play. I thought it was magical. Fast forward to my older years, and I would reminisce about this toy, always wondering where it ended up, and how I could have possibly misplaced it. But, thankfully, my Mum took note.My Mum managed to find the exact same Nutcracker Story Box, and with my Dad, gifted it to me for Christmas. I was so surprised, and moved.It was my favourite present, and meant more to me than any other. I hope this accessory triggers fond memories for you.
