So we decided to offer the core trigger assembly on its own—giving advanced users and OEMs the freedom to integrate it into whatever shell or setup they want. That said, this isn’t a plug-and-play product or kit. If you're designing anything outside a standard 14" shell, fewer than 8 lugs, or especially shallow drums, you’ll likely need to get creative with mounting and brackets. Plan your build before purchasing. If you’re not looking for a bit of a challenge, a pre-built drum is the better route. We’ve seen successful installs in shells ranging from 13" to 16" with custom mounting solutions, but results will vary depending on your setup. Proceed at your own risk. The Fine Print: We train DruML triggers across a wide range of mesh heads and shell configurations, but we can only guarantee out-of-the-box performance with our own builds. Drum lug spacing and hardware aren’t fully standardized, so some modification or bracket swapping may be required. DruML Studio lets you train your own models, but your hardware still needs to provide clean, consistent signal for best results.
