The Drawmer DS101 500 Series Noise Gate brings the performance of Drawmer's renowned studio gates to the compact 500 Series format, delivering clean, transparent gating with except ional precision. Based on a single channel of the industry standard DS201, it provides accurate control over unwanted noise, microphone spill, and room ambience while preserving the natural character and transients of the original performance. Comprehensive controls for threshold, attack, hold, decay, and range allow the gate to be tailored to everything from drums and vocals to guitars, broadcast, and live recording applications. What sets the DS101 apart is its frequency conscious gating system, featuring variable high pass and low pass side chain filters with a dedicated key listen function. This makes it easy to isolate the desired trigger source while rejecting unwanted bleed, helping achieve cleaner, more reliable gating in even the most demanding recording situations. The unit also supports external key triggering, independent Gate and Duck modes, and infrared linking between adjacent DS101 modules for stereo operation or creative envelope shaping, with each linked module retaining its own envelope settings. Designed and hand built by Drawmer in the UK, the DS101 combines professional performance with the flexibility expected from a modern 500 Series processor. Show more
