DS1299 DS1299 is a single jersey knit fabric for makers, small brands and sewing studios that want more than a generic base fabric. It suits projects where the material has to support the cut, the styling and the final use of the garment, so the result feels planned from the beginning. What can you sew with it? It is a strong option for T-shirts, long-sleeve tops, fitted blouses, simple dresses, leggings, bodysuits, babywear, underwear-inspired layers and loungewear. These are the kinds of projects where the fabric choice is visible in the finished piece: in the way the garment sits, how it frames the body and how naturally it fits into a wardrobe or a small collection. How does it work in a design? This version works especially well when you want the material itself to guide the shape, purpose and mood of the finished piece. The effect is a soft, wearable and approachable finish that is easy to imagine in everyday outfits, which makes the fabric useful for both individual sewing projects and repeatable product ideas. When is it the right choice? Choose it when the garment should move naturally with the body and feel comfortable from the first wear. It is the kind of fabric that helps a project feel more finished: the design looks clearer, the styling direction is easier to understand and the final piece has a stronger reason to exist.
