The DT101 Desktop Pop Filter is the world's first free-standing pop filter made to sit upon a desktop without the use of a microphone stand or boom arm. This allows the screen to be placed wherever your microphone is located within 16" of the surface of your recording desk. Rotational orientation of the screen does not matter as long as the screen label is facing the vocalist and the screen is at least 2" from the microphone. The Proscreen pop filter is far more effective than fabric filters. Instead of simply diffusing bursts, the Proscreen redirects airflow away from the microphone capsule. Even close vocal work will not allow popping "P's" or "B's" to reach the microphone. The large openings in the metal screen allow vocal sound to pass through to the microphone unobstructed and uncolored, preserving critical detail. The patented Proscreen filter material and the weighted steel base are both finished with a durable powder coating that will last a lifetime. The gooseneck is covered with a heavy duty vinyl shrink material keeping the flexible gooseneck protected and offering lower noise while adjustments are made.
