Standard uses secure cloud activation and database authorization. Once activated, the software can continue operating offline within its allowed refresh period. Support can vary based on: ECU software version Manufacturer software updates File size File structure Calibration layout Read method Read tool output DTC Toolbox automatically checks the loaded file against its installed definition database. If you encounter an unsupported software version, contact us and provide the original BIN file or applicable software information. We can review the file for potential inclusion in a future definition update. Integrated OBD Scanner DTC Toolbox Standard and Pro include an integrated OBD Scanner with J2534 support, allowing supported diagnostic workflows to be performed without leaving DTC Toolbox. The scanner is separate from BIN editing and is intended to complement the calibration workflow with direct vehicle diagnostic functionality. A compatible J2534 interface and applicable vehicle connection are required. Integrated Support Center DTC Toolbox v2.3.2 includes an integrated Support Center for direct communication with 4J Tuning. Users can submit software, licensing, and activation requests directly from DTC Toolbox without manually gathering all of their application information. Support requests can automatically include relevant information such as: DTC Toolbox version Active license information PC ID Loaded BIN status Purchase/contact email Order number Support request type Existing support conversations can also be viewed and replied to directly from the application. This gives DTC Toolbox users a direct support channel while keeping important software and licensing information connected to the request. Secure Definition Database DTC Toolbox definitions are distributed using signed and encrypted database packs. The application verifies the database before loading its definitions, helping prevent modified, damaged, or unauthorized definition databases from being used. Lite, Standard, and Pro share the same core DTC definition coverage. Higher editions unlock additional workflow functionality: LiteCore DTC editing. No yearly renewal is required. Standard $99 — 1 Year DTC Toolbox Standard licenses are valid for 1 year from the license creation date. Standard uses secure cloud activation and periodic license/database authorization. Pro $199 — 1 Year DTC Toolbox Pro licenses are valid for 1 year from the license creation date. Pro uses secure cloud activation and periodic license/database authorization. Offline Use Standard and Pro can continue operating offline within the allowed activation refresh period. DTC Toolbox displays the remaining offline allowance so you can see when another online license refresh will be required. Licensed PC Licenses are issued for one PC. Your licensed name is displayed inside DTC Toolbox. Please provide the name you would like displayed when submitting your licensing information. If no name is provided, the customer's first name may be used.
