The stripes on our Double width fabrics fabrics are woven horizontally to give the soft vintage colour we love. To use we turn them on their sides hence the extra width. To calculate the fabric you will need you will measure up the width rather than the length. Our thickweave cottons are tough, wonderfully soft and drape beautifully. The heavy cotton yarn we use to weave this lovely cotton often breaks during weaving. Where its joined there will be slubs and thickened lines which form part of the character of the cotton and are quite acceptable. Please check that you are happy with your fabric before cutting or altering it in any way. If it is going direct to a third party please ensure they have full details or samples to enable them to check. We cannot accept responsibility for the fabric once it has been cut.
