The kit is made of an active handle which operates the expanding spindle, and of a passive one (mounted on the other side) which works just for moving the door (idle rotation). The passive handle is notched, in order to guarantee the emergency function by means of a screw driver or a coin.The ø48 mm Kit cannot be combined with locks with backsets less than 35 mm. Fastening The handles are mounted on the door by means of the expanding spindle inside of the active handle. A 2,5 mm Allen key is required. One handle is used just to move the door whilst it leaves the spindle on idle (passive system). The other handle operates the spindle as well (active system) and can be recognised by the little Allen screw used for mounting the handles. NB. The passive handle is notched, in order to guarantee the emergency function by means of a screw driver or a coin. A 2,5 mm Allen key is required. Note. We suggest to mount the handle with the expanding hub in the side door where it is pulled.
